Free Beer Buddy Takes on the 2007 Orlando Jaycees Beer-BQ

Chief Beer Buddy Henry Bentley and some associated cohorts were on the scene this year for the first (annual?) Orlando Jaycees Beer-BQ.

Held on the grounds of Orlando Brewing, the event featured Bar-B-Q, organic brewed beer, live music, and a car show.

We hope the event did well, because we certainly had a great time. The beer was generally good, though the Porter was a touch on the sweet side for some Free Beer Buddy taste buds. The Brown Ale, on the other hand, was a hit all the way around.

The Bar-B-Q ribs from Blackwater Bar-B-Q were the best we'd had in a long time.

The music? We caught the first band. It was a grunge redux. Not sure if the music kicked up in quality later on, but we came away thinking that most garage bands just sound the same these days.

We highly recommend checking out Orlando Brewing in downtown Orlando. They have a great bar on-premises and the variety of their production makes a sampler tray must!
