 On Saturday May 17, 2008.Orlando hosted its first annual Great Orlando Beer Festival.
Talk about a great time! In the opinion of Free Beer Buddy, this was the best event of this type ever held in the Central Florida area. The range of craft beers displayed was truly amazing. The folks in the tents were great, and full of helpful information about the beers they were serving. Several tents featured brew masters onsite, and the knowledge gained alone was worth the cost of admission.
One big surprise was seeing our friend Drew Pohle out there with his new organization. Drew has helped found the Orlando Beer Drinkers Guild. They had a tent at the event to provide shade, free water, and pretzels to members or potential members to enjoy. Drew's got big plans for the group to help bring beer drinkers in Central Florida together, and we look forward to working with Drew on that worthy project!
