ST. LOUIS: Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc., the largest
U.S. brewer, said higher beer prices and stronger demand helped push
its profit up 6.1 percent in the second quarter on a similar rise in
sales.
Chief Financial Officer Randolph Baker said the company plans to
raise prices on almost its entire line of beers in the first months of
2008. He said it is not clear how high prices will be raised, but said
the results will vary by geographic region and market. Click here to view the entire article.
